Bryant is the brand we install. We service every other major brand.

Check the thermostat batteries and the furnace filter first, because a clogged filter can shut a furnace down. If it still won't run, call us, day or night.
Make sure the sump pump is plugged in and its breaker hasn't tripped, then pour a bucket of water into the pit to see if it starts. If the water is still rising, call now.
If the water heater is leaking, close the cold water valve on the pipe above it and turn the gas knob to off, or switch off its breaker if it's electric. A leak from the tank itself means a replacement, and that estimate is free.
Change the filter, then look at the copper line going into the outdoor unit. If it's iced over, set the thermostat from cool to off and the fan to on, so the ice melts before we get there.
Stop running water in the house. When a toilet and a tub or floor drain back up together, it's usually the main sewer line rather than one drain.
Look for the manufacture date on the label inside the furnace door or on the outdoor unit. Past about 15 years with a major part failing, price a replacement next to the repair. We quote both, and the replacement estimate is free.
Smell gas? Get everyone out of the house first, then call 911 or your gas company from outside.
